Simon Says.... HAPPY MAIL!!!

We hope you all had a GREAT time at the Blog Hop - we know we sure did!!! WHAT FUN!!!!!! We will announce the Grand Prize winner later today!!! AND be sure to check the Design Team blogs for the winners on each of their blogs as well!!!!! THANK YOU all for your love and support of Simon Says Stamp!! It means more to us than you know!!! We love each and every one of you!!!!!

This week our challenge for you is to make a card or project for a sick child. We all know how GREAT it feels to get happy mail for no reason, so imagine how a child who is ill would feel to get happy mail....I can just imagine the BIG GRIN on their little faces!! It will bring such happiness to them, so we thought we would support Post Pals and Make a Child Smile and get some cards to those children who could use a "hug"!!!

Today's featured guest designer is POPPET. Poppet is incredibly talented and an amazing woman! She is very familiar with Post Pals as 2 of her 3 children are members. On her blog, there is a video made by BBC, called Samara's story - it is very moving. If you have a minute, please watch it, but make sure you have a tissue handy!!!! Here is what Poppet wrote to us:
Diese Woche haben wir wieder ein besonderes Thema für Euch:
HAPPY MAIL.

Es soll eine Karte für ein krankes Kind gemacht werden.
Wir haben uns entschlossen unsere Karten an eine Instution wie zB:

POSTPALS oder MAKE A CHILD SMILE
zu senden.

Außerdem haben wir heut auch wieder einen Gast dabei:
POPPET

Ezen a héten is egy különleges kihívással várunk benneteket, témája:
" HAPPY MAIL-BOLDOG POSTA"

What Post Pals means to me...

As you all know I have 3 children with brain damage, well I came across
Post Pals and decided I would join the youngest 2 children on there website and it has been the best thing we have ever done...The children get mail from all over the world and they have even received gifts also, this brings many smiles to their faces, all they used to get before was letters for hospital appointments and reports from specialists, so to receive a small card or letter just for them is really great...Even a poodle called Percy who has his own website writes letters to Teej, and he loves hearing about what Percy has been up to...Teej's operation what he had at Christmas did not work and his legs and arms are really stiff, he has to have physio and it can be really painful, have you ever watched your child cry in pain because you are hurting them, but at the same time know that if you do not do it they will not be able to move properly, well this is the time when the mail is most effective, I let him open them when I do this so that is has his mind taken off what I am doing....

And here is one of her gorgeous cards:

I'm going to find the time to join this week's challenge. I did send some cards to Post Pals but haven't for a while - I must keep it up. Poppet's message has reminded me how important it is.
Thank you for setting such a wonderful challenge.

I think Post Pals is fantastic and put a card on my blog yesterday for one of the children at Post Pals.

As it's my birthday next week I am also giving away some blog candy to anyone who makes and sends a card to one of the children. So if anyone would like to enter this and have made a card for the Simon Says challenge please feel free to join in my blog candy draw too.

I had to do this challenge quickly, because I want to send the card asap.
I've chosen a child from Post Pals. Thank you Poppet for your moving story. DT cards are great, and the challenge theme is outstanding.

Hope it's ok that I've combined your challenge with Ann's challenge for Post Pals. This is a very worthwhile cause and I hope there is a huge response and we crafters can bring lots of smiles to lots of children.

Thanks so much for the link to MACS. I have seen the Post Pals and thought what a great idea but being in the US the postage is high. Now that I found one in the US I can send and brighten someones day. I will be back with an entry, thanks again.

Just linked my 1st card! I hope I'll have time to make a few more because it's so worth it that those poor kids can get some nice cards and words from all around the world. Congrats on the idea!
Now I hope the uruguayan mail will behave right and my cards won't get lost...

I posted another card. It's a little project for one of the children at Post Pals. I hope it's ok, as it's not a card in itself, but 4 attached small cards. A trip to the zoo for little Tie. I hope it's ok for the challenge, but if it's not that's fine too. I enjoyed making it and hope he'll like it too :)
Hugs from Uruguay!
